Linux Tip: KDE Super User Command

This tip I gleaned from Marko Jung in his recent post about experiences with KDE4.  In the past when I have clicked on an application that requires root authority, regardless of how I have sudo setup on my machine, KDE prompts me for the root password.

Tip:

PS: I prefer using sudo instead of su. To configure this behaviour in kdesu you have to add to your ~/.kde4/share/config/kdesurc the following line:

    [super-user-command]
    super-user-command=sudo

Following this tip from Marko’s post that is a nuisance of the past.  In my case I am running KDE35 so the hidden folder for me is .kde.
